"I have a 500GB Western Digital usb flash diske with lots of customers photos on it, Now when I plug it in, the drive comes up in my computer as removable drive as it usually does, but when i click it it asks me if I want to format it - when I click 'no' I can't access the drive. Step 1. Run photo recovery software.
Run Disk Doctors Photo Recovery for Mac software, by double clicking on application icon from the 'Applications' folder or the location where the software has been installed. Program main Window will be displayed as shown in the Figure (a).

Step 2. Choose photo types.
Select the USB flash disk which you want to recover from and click on "Next" button to proceed. The program displays a Window to select file types that you wish to recover.
By default all the file types will be selected. Click on "Deselect all" button and select those file formats which you wish to recover and click on "Recover" button as shown in Figure (b).

Step 3.
Scan data on failed flash disk.
Once you have opened the USB flash disk and selected the file formats, application starts scanning your selected drive as shown in Figure (c). Please wait till the process is completed.

Step 4. Recover photos from failed USB flash disk to Mac.
