Recover images emptied from iPhoto trash
"One day, when I tried to open my iPhoto application. it says 'couldnt find iPhoto library folder'.
and when i tried to locate the folder, it's so horrible, it has gone! There are over 2000 images, 2 years of photos without back up. I think probably someone deleted the image folder and I've emptied my trash without checking. So if that is the case, how can I recover back my images after the iPhoto trash has been emptied?"

Step 1. Run image recovery software.
Run Disk Doctors Photo Recovery for Mac software, by double clicking on application icon from the 'Applications' folder or the location where the software has been installed. Program main Window will be displayed as shown in the Figure (a).

Step 2. Choose image type.
Select the drive your iPhoto installed onto and click on "Next" button to proceed. The program displays a Window to select image type that you wish to recover from iPhoto.
By default all the file types will be selected. Click on "Deselect all" button and select file format which you wish to recover and click on "Recover" button as shown in Figure (b).

Step 3.
Scan images in iPhoto drive.
Once you have opened the Mac hard disk and selected the file formats, application starts scanning your selected drive as shown in Figure (c). Please wait till the process is completed.

As soon as the application completes the scanning process, the recovered photos will be analysed and displayed in a well organized data tree as shown in Figure (d).

Step 4. Recover images after emptied from iPhoto trash.
You can now save the recovered photos in order to complete recovery process. Select the photos you wish to recover and click on save button.

It might take a while depending on the size of the hard disk. The bigger it is, the longer it will take to complete scanning. As long as you do not take any more data on the disk, you are able to get lost data back in a short time. The concept is actually the same as recovering songs deleted from iPod.
