Guides: How to recover files from formatted USB drive?
Disk Doctors Photo Recovery (Mac) Software provides easy to use interface that helps you to recover digital files in simple steps. Please follow the steps below to recover files from formatted USB drive to Mac.
Step 1. Run photo recovery software.
Run Disk Doctors Photo Recovery for Mac software, by double clicking on application icon from the 'Applications' folder or the location where the software has been installed. Program main Window will be displayed as shown in the Figure (a).

Step 2. Choose file types.
Select the USB drive which you want to recover files from and click on "Next" button to proceed. The program displays a Window to select file types that you wish to recover.
By default all the file types will be selected. Click on "Deselect all" button and select those file formats which you wish to recover and click on "Recover" button as shown in Figure (b).

Step 3.
Scan files on formatted USB drive.
Once you have opened the USB drive and selected the file formats, application starts scanning your selected drive as shown in Figure (c). Please wait till the process is completed.

As soon as the application completes the scanning process, the recovered data/file will be analysed and displayed in a well organized data tree as shown in Figure (d).

Step 4. Save undeleted files from memory card to Mac.
You can now save the recovered media files in order to complete undelete process. Select the files you wish to undelete and click on save button.

Please Note: In order to save your recovered data, you need to purchase and activate the full version. Saving option will not work in demo version.
It might take a while depending on the size of the USB drive. The bigger it is, the longer it will take to complete scanning. As long as you do not take any more data on the USB drive, you are able to get lost data back in a short time. The concept is actually the same as photo recovery on Mac emptied trash.
