Preparation: Attach the digital camera flash memory to your card reader (most of the latest desktops and laptops nowadays are having inbuilt card readers, in case your system is not having any, buy a USB interface card reader). Step 1. Run DNG camera file recovery software.

Step 2. Choose DNG image type.

By default all the photo, audio and video types will be selected. Click on "Deselect all" button and select "DNG" which you wish to recover and click on "Recover" button as shown in Figure (b).

Step 3.
Scan recoverable DNG files on camera memory.
Once you have opened the memory card and selected the DNG file format, application starts scanning your selected drive. As soon as the application completes the scanning process, the recovered data/file will be analysed and displayed in a well organized data tree as shown in Figure (c).

Step 4. Recover DNG files from camera card to Mac.
You can now save the DNG photos to complete recovery process.

Please Note: In order to save your recovered data, you need to purchase and activate the full version. Saving option will not work in demo version.
It might take a while depending on the size of the digital camera flash memory. The bigger it is, the longer it will take to complete scanning. As long as you do not take any more data on the memory card, you are able to recover all lost data. The concept is actually the same as recovering JPEG files from flash memory on Mac.
