Step 1. Run photo recovery software.
Run Disk Doctors Photo Recovery for Mac software, by double clicking on application icon from the 'Applications' folder or the location where the software has been installed. Program main Window will be displayed as shown in the Figure (a).

Step 2. Choose pictures types.
Select the reformatted hard drive which you want to get lost pictures back from and click on "Next" button to proceed. The program displays a Window to select file types that you wish to get.
By default all the file types will be selected. Click on "Deselect all" button and select those pictures formats which you wish to recover and click on "Recover" button as shown in Figure (b).

Step 3.
Scan pictures on reformatted hard drive.
Once you have opened the hard drive and selected the file formats, application starts scanning your selected drive as shown in Figure (c). Please wait till the process is completed.

As soon as the application completes the scanning process, the recovered data/file will be analysed and displayed in a well organized data tree as shown in Figure (d).

Step 4. Save reformatted pictures from hard drive.
You can now get pictures from your reformatted hard drive to local in order to complete undelete process. Select the files you wish to recover and click on save button.
Specify a safe location to initiate saving process. Shown in Figure (e).

Please Note: In order to save your recovered data, you need to purchase and activate the full version. Saving option will not work in demo version.
It might take a while depending on the size of the hard drive. The bigger it is, the longer it will take to complete scanning. As long as you do not take any more data on the hard drive, you are able to get lost pictures back in a short time. The concept is actually the same as restoring deleted photos on Mac.
